The Santos exhibits Cartier's classic sophistication. It features a stainless steel case, silver dial with blue steel hands, sapphire topped crown, and automatic movement. The dial on our Santos is engraved with elegant guilloche work which gives it an especially pleasing luxurious feminine design.
Unlike the quartz version of the Santos, this mechanical example has a mechanism that showcases the timeless art of traditional Swiss watchmaking.
It has the newer style heavy bracelet and more decorated dial. It is fully Cartier and presents as about a 9.6 out of 10. On the wrist it presents as essentially like new.
Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components including installing a brand new reverser gear for the automatic winding system (the gear often goes bad in these watches over time and installed a brand new Cartier crown with perfect sapphire, reassembling and lubricating the movement, replacing all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $645 value).
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
