GS 630 chainsaw Model GS 630 is the new version of the 962, updated to comply with the latest European emissions and safety regulations. Suitable for felling, limbing and bucking large trees, the GS 630 is versatile, thanks to its high power and compatibility with guide bars from 16” to 20” in length, without having to relinquish the benefits of low overall weight. A digital coil, magnesium alloy crankcase and chain guard, automatic and adjustable aluminium oil pump, 3-piece forged steel crankshaft, and nickel plated cylinder make this machine rugged and reliable. A primer and decompressor make it possible to reduce the effort required for starting. A nylon filter and chain guard with a wide discharge section allow faster maintenance. Finally, comfort is assured by an anti-vibration system with vibration dampers and an aluminium handle clad in soft rubber

— Large nylon filter, labyrinth air prefiltering
system (b) with optimum filtering action, ideal for
heavily dust-laden environments.
Ease of use
— On/off switch, choke control placed closed to
the rear handle: guaranteed practical and simple to
use.
— Primer Device: boosts the fuel flow to the
carburettor to facilitatecold starts, starts after
refuelling, and starts after long periods of disuse.
— Decompressor valve: when activated, reduces
pressure in the combustion chamber to ensure the
engine will start easily, even from cold.
— Chain lubrication oil pump (aluminium) with
adjustable flow rate: facilitates the task of the
operator by allowing variation of the oil feed to suit
the workload on the machine and the type of wood.
Comfort
— Anti-vibration system using 6 mounts,
comprising 6 rubber stops, (a) and (b), located
between the handle and the crankcase: with
hands and body completely isolated from machine
vibrations, the operator benefits through increased
comfort.
— Front handle made of aluminium, covered
in soft rubber: ensures a firm, anatomically correct
and comfortable grip.
— Ergonomic controls: all functions of the machine
are easily reachable with just one hand, so that the
operator can work confidently without ever letting
go of the handle.
— Reinforced muffler designed to reduce noise
emissions even at maximum rpm.
Ease of maintenance
— Nylon air filter: the nylon mesh filter makes
cleaning operations quicker and easier and reduces
the rate of deterioration of the filter through time.
— Automatic chain lubrication oil pump with
adjustable flow rate: zero flow with engine at
idling speed ensures less caking of chips and dust,
consequently less time spent on maintenance,
and longer intervals between cleaning/servicing
operations.
— Chain guard with wide outlet section:
designed to facilitate clearance of chips and dust (less
caking), so that the part needs cleaning and servicing
less frequently. The two shields, rubber on the chain
guard (a) and plastic on the tank (b), offer maximum
strength in the event of the chain dropping off.
